Product Description
Many districts and states have social studies standards that include teaching students about how life has changed over time. This could also just be a fun Thanksgiving learning experience.
One of the perfect ways to help hit that standard is to celebrate “Pioneer Day!” Pioneer day includes several engaging, hands-on activities for students to participate in and get a feel for how things were done differently hundreds of years ago.
Activities include: candle making, butter making, cloth dying, and toy making (2 options). I’ll also include details on an optional Thanksgiving-style feast and additional projects for kids to create as they prepare for Pioneer Day!
This packet includes a note to send home, tracers, pictures of examples, and very detailed instructions on how to do everything and things to consider when planning and preparing!
